I'm looking a bit ragged below, and its for a reason.  I had gone through fiery hoops for the Caledonian Club, long before the games had started, but it was well worth it in the long run. At closing ceremonies on Sunday, For the first time we had full recognition from the Club and support from them in the form of drink and food we were all sponsored in with The Highlander Warriors official sponsor FireBlood Arms.  In these photos you see a tired Diarmid Campbell, but a triumphant one.  This was most definitely indeed my greatest Battle and victory!  All Living History guild masters were brought before the Chiefs and the Mayor to present to the Chief of the Caledonian Club a Sword from FireBlood Arms, it was a beautiful Claymore, it will be displayed proudly at the Caledonian Club in South San Francisco.

The Warrior Begins The

Journey

You have been too long in this place.  The air is rarified.

Your life is stagnant, you do not flow. You must, therefore,

leave in search of new dawns.  Your setting no longer brings

you new things.  Leave the superfluous, take with you only

what is essential, the minimum possible.  Your heart, your

spirit and your body are enough.  Put your affairs in order

before you go.  Close the circles, leave no loose ends.

May your departure be natural, just like the migrating cranes

in winter.  There is no need to escape.  Simply leave this

place, this situation, behind.  Go.  You will surely find new

Fellow travellers.

You may come back some day.
